Barcelona striker Munir El Haddadi has been blocked from playing for Morocco at the World Cup.
On-loan with Alaves, Munir had applied to FIFA to be cleared to play for Morocco, despite having been capped by Spain.
But Le Site Info says FIFA have written to the Moroccan FA they cannot consider Munir as he remains tied to Spain.
The striker featured in 2014 in a Euros qualifier against Macedonia. Munir has never featured for La Roja since.
Former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has acknowledged feeling "guilty" about the situation of Munir and said he had done "a job" for his country four years ago.
