Celta Vigo are demanding top price for Maxi Gomez.

The Uruguay striker is interesting Barcelona ahead of the January market as the LaLiga leaders seek a new striker signing.

Marca says Celta have fielded an approach from Barca and made it clear that Maxi won't be leaving on the cheap.

A price of €50m has been slapped on the forward, who is prepared to leave Celta next month.

Maxi is also a favourite of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, with enquiries having been made after the player last summer.

At Barca, they see Maxi as a long-term replacement for 32 year-old striker Luis Suarez.
