Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives admits there's some frustration after FIFA's The Best snub for Leo Messi.
Messi was ignored for the shortlist released this week.
"We have to be clear that he is the best player in the world and in history," said Vives.
"He shows this in every game and so we are not interested in this subject (of not winning an award). We know who Leo is and he doesn't need an award to show this."
He said that the board was happy with their work in the summer transfer window when they largely managed to balance the books with players in and out.
"We are satisfied on balance as the board feels that they have achieved the objectives with a squad of plenty of quality and less expensive," he said.
"The situation economically is fantastic."
