Barcelona signing Javier Mascherano has hit out at former club Liverpool. The Argentinian joined the Catalan club for around £18million after forcing his way out of Liverpool, allegedly refusing to play against Manchester City.
However, he blamed the club for the breakdown in relations, accusing them of breaking promises.
The Guardian quotes him as saying: "When they started to involve my family and to say things that didn't make sense, I obviously suffered.
"They'd promised me something for a whole year and they never fulfilled their promise. And that didn't have anything to do with my family or anything else. When you read or hear lies, you obviously get angry."
