Barcelona have shut the door on signing Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.
Barca's financial problems are well documented and they do not have the spending power to meet Liverpool's valuation.
"Mascherano is a great player but we're not interested in him," Barcelona's sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta, said.
