Barcelona seeking Russian club for Pjanic

Barcelona are seeking to place Miralem Pjanic at a Russian club with their transfer window still open.

Marca says Pjanic is one of the highest remaining earners in Barcelona's squad and the Blaugrana thought for a short period on Tuesday that they were going to be able to send him back to Juventus, but such a deal never materialised.

Barcelona were willing to pay part of the Bosnian's salary, but it wasn't enough for the Bianconeri who have financial concerns of their own.

Despite this setback, the technical department at the Camp Nou believes they will still be able to place Pjanic at a club, and focus has turned to nations where the transfer window is still open.

Russia is the primary target, although it would be quite the drop in prestige for Pjanic, yet Ronald Koeman doesn't count on the player at all, having even said so publicly on a number of occasions.

Pjanic is aware of this reality and has agreed to leave the club in search for minutes elsewhere, otherwise he knows it will be another season on the bench.
