Barcelona have dropped plans of signing a right-back this summer.

Marca says Barcelona's decision to renew Sergi Roberto's contract a few days ago has made the need no longer a priority.

Given Barca are working to financial limitations imposed by LaLiga, they will focus on other positions in need of strengthening.

Barca coach Xavi is prepared to use central defenders Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo at right-back.

The Catalans also have Julian Araujo, the Mexico fullback signed from LA Galaxy, who will be registered and available next season.
