Barcelona have resisted interest in Santi Ramos Mingo.
The defender has attracted a firm offer from a European rival, but Barca refuse to sell.
Mundo Deportivo says despite Barca's debt concerns, they are insisting Ramos Mingo is not for sale.
The youngster's deal runs to 2022 with a two-year option and he has joined coach Ronald Koeman's senior squad for preseason.
Indeed, management see Ramos Mingo ready to step up should they find buyers for Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti this summer.
Ramos Mingo was snapped up by Barca in January 2020 from Boca Juniors, where he was playing for the club's reserve-team. The 19 year-old centre-half is yet to make his first team debut for Barca, instead being committed to the club's B team in the Segunda B Division.
However, such has been his progress over the past year that Barca management have now earmarked Ramos Mingo for a first team breakthrough for the coming season.
