Barcelona are ready to pounce for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.

The Uruguay international is on a shortlist of targets at Barca as they seek a long-term successor for Luis Suarez.

Sport says Maxi is emerging as a priority with Celta in relegation danger.

Celta will be prepared to sell the striker for close to his €50m buyout clause this summer.

However should they go down, Maxi's clause will be slashed to €25m.
