Barcelona push forward with new contracts for Mingueza and Ilaix

Barcelona are ready to push forward with new contracts for Oscar Mingueza and Ilaix Moriba.

Marca says Barca are set to continue to place their faith in La Masia by handing contract renewals to Oscar Mingueza and Ilaix Moriba.

This is in addition to the recent contract extension announced for Alex Collado, as Barcelona seek to plan for the future.

Mingueza's current deal expires in June but the club have an option to extend it by two years, which they plan to exercise without renegotiating the terms.

Moriba, meanwhile, has had fewer opportunities in the first team but has given glimpses of his immense potential, most recently as a substitute against Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old has a contract until 2022, but Barcelona want to keep him around a lot longer than that.

Other youngsters whose renewals are being considered by Barcelona are Ronald Araujo, who is under contract until 2023, and Konrad de la Fuente, who has a deal until 2022.
