Barcelona's presidential candidates support the signing of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.

While any new president could veto the deal if it isn't closed before the January 24 election, there's a unison amongst all three candidates that the deal should go through.

Marca says Joan Laporta, Victor Font and Toni Freixa - the three remaining candidates - have all approved the signing.

Garcia, off contract at City in June, is expected to join Barca for a €5m fee this month with a further €5m due in bonuses.

The departure of Carles Alena to Getafe and the potential exit of Matheus Fernandes will see the money saved cover the signing of Garcia.
