Barcelona president Joan Laporta is confident over the contract status of three of their young stars.
Laporta was speaking after their Supercopa de Espana final triumph over Real Madrid.
On Gavi, the president explained: "He turned 18 in autumn and we took advantage of the possibility that the regulations gave us to continue with this condition (that of a youth player). When this season ends, we will have to register him, because he is a first-team footballer.
Ronald Araujo's new contract, which as Gavi renewed until 2026, is not registered in LaLiga either. And Barça also wants to renew Alejandro Balde in the coming months, whose contract ends in 2024, and register him as a first-team player with a view to next season.
