Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits they're worried about the fitness of Ronald Araujo at the World Cup.
Araujo joined up with Uruguay still recovering from thigh surgery and there's concerns inside Barca that the defender could aggravate the injury if he plays too soon.
Laporta said, "We know the dreams that players have to go with their teams, also Uruguayans.
"Ronald wanted to go and Xavi made the right decision, with conditions. We have two members of our medical team in Uruguay. We want the player not to be forced to relapse from injury, the player and the team accepted it. He is training and we hope they are prudent, that the player's health prevails.
"If there is a minimum risk, do not play; he is aware of this situation.
"He will behave like a FC Barcelona professional without taking risks.
"During the World Cup he will accompany the team, but he will hardly be able to play."
