Barcelona president Joan Laporta remains skeptical about bringing Xavi back to the club as new coach.
The Al Sadd boss has been linked with Barca as Ronald Koeman battles to keep his job.
However, Sport says Laporta's opinion about Xavi hasn't changed since the club's presidential election when he publicly questioned the former Barca captain's coaching experience.
Laporta doesn't believe Xavi is ready for the Nou Camp post after less than two seasons in charge of Al Sadd.
However, he would be open to bringing Xavi to Barca to coach the B team for a season to prove himself.
