Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a deal in place for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, it has been revealed.

Off contract in June, Aguero has committed to pre-contract terms with Barca, reports AS.

Laporta has decided to push through a deal for Aguero, viewing the Argentine as a 'new Henrik Larsson', who spent two successful years with Barca late in his career.

It's suggested Laporta's move for Aguero is being done independently of his pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

City boss Pep Guardiola stated last week he didn't expect an answer from Aguero about a new deal until the summer.
