Barcelona president Laporta 'blocks' Koeman from Dutch interview

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has BLOCKED coach Ronald Koeman from speaking to the Dutch press.

Marca reports Koeman was scheduled to sit down and be interviewed by HLF8 during this international break, only for the invitation to later be rejected.

A number of Dutch media outlets have reported Koeman had agreed to the interview last Wednesday, but Laporta stepped in and blocked the request. This led to Koeman turning down the interview on Monday.

The agreement reportedly was made for Koeman to do the interview whether or not he had been dismissed by Barcelona by the time it came around. But Laporta contacted Koeman over the weekend and informed him that he didn't have permission to speak to the Dutch press.

Journalist Barbara Barend was the journalist scheduled to hold the interview - and it was Barend who made public this latest development in Koeman and Laporta's bizarre relationship.
