Barcelona president Bartomeu set to demand director resignations

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is set to make a dramatic demand of his board, it has been revealed.

Marca says Bartomeu wants to figure out who is on his side and who isn't by asking his most disloyal directors to resign in order for the club to deal with the current issues at hand with more confidence.

Bartomeu feels strong and is ready to ask for changes in the management upstairs at the Camp Nou.

The 57-year-old cannot fire any board member, but what he can do is relegate them from their current position.

As such, Bartomeu will ask for the resignation of the most critical directors from when Barcelona's latest crisis emerged.

Above all, there is someone in particular Bartomeu wants to get rid of: Emili Rousaud.

Rousaud was only appointed as vice-president in January 2020, however the situation has taken a radical turn and Bartomeu now wants to remove him from his leadership so that someone else can take over this role.
