Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed the new coach will be confirmed on May 29.
Bartomeu spoke to Barcelona TV and Movistar after the Barcelona's win over Eibar.
"We have a board meeting on Monday May 29 and we will then announce the name of the new coach. Valverde? He's a coach whose contract is ending."
He also spoke about Leo Messi and his new contract talks, "There's no doubt that the Messi-Barca marriage will continue".
The president added: "We are grateful to Luis Enrique for these years of effort and self-drive. We have open doors (for him). But now there's the Copa del Rey final, an important trophy. We have a week to prepare for it and we will focus on that."
