Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu knows the terms of Xavi if they're to hire their former captain.

Al Sadd coach Xavi rejected an offer from Barca over the New Year to replace Ernesto Valverde ahead of the appointment of Quique Setien.

But with Setien now under increasing pressure, there's talk of Bartomeu renewing their plans to bring back Xavi.

L'Equipe says Xavi has an ambition to take charge of Barca, though would prefer to do so as part of presidential candidate Victor Font's regime.

Xavi also wants total control over transfer policy and will insist on the return of former teammates Carles Puyol and Jordi Cruyff in key positions.

Setien has a year to run on his current Barca deal.
