Manchester United are set to sign Pedro from Barcelona according to reports.

Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona are planning for life without the winger by plotting a swoop for Celta Vigo ace Nolito as his direct replacement.

It is understood that United are set to trigger the £22million release clause of 28-year-old Spain international Pedro as Angel Di Maria's protracted move to Paris Saint-Germain draws nearer.

With United's reported pursuit of Pedro, Barca have been making a contingency in the form of a £7.1m move for former Benfica star Nolito in a bid to bring him back to the Camp Nou where he spent time between 2008 and 2011.
