Barcelona are seriously considering a move for Shakhtar Donetsk fullback Darijo Srna.

The Croatian veteran, 34, is in talks with Shakhtar about a release from his contract - so allowing him to join another club outside the transfer windows.

Srna was linked with Barca this morning and AS says they're seriously considering the option.

It's been revealed Barca rejected a transfer request from Aleix Vidal last month and are now actively planning to replace him.

Barca chiefs expect Vidal to leave in January and are considering Srna as a direct - and immediate - replacement in the coming days.
