Barcelona are plotting a swap bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

The 20-year-old is one of the brightest young sparks in European football having put in some impressive displays for the Bundesliga side over the last four seasons.

Sport1 reports Barca are ready to offer Emerson Leite, Carles Alena or Marc Cucurella as part of the deal.

Both Emerson and Alena are on loan at fellow La Liga side Real Betis, with the former reportedly acting as the more attractive exchange option for the Bundesliga club, who are looking to sign a right-back this summer.

Left-back Cucurella, 21, is currently on loan at Spanish side Getafe, having made just one senior appearance for Barcelona since breaking into the first-team squad in 2017.

Alena, meanwhile, is the more recognisable option out of the three players offered in exchange, having made 27 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona last season.
