Barcelona are still pursuing a deal with Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
Garcia, off contract in June, had agreed to return to Barca before Christmas, with terms settled with the previous board of Josep Maria Bartomeu.
However, new Barca president Joan Laporta wants to revise the deal down, which has irked Garcia and his camp. But after expressing some frustration, there is a belief the Spain international is now warming to the new arrangement.
For the moment, the two parties have taken a break, with Barca acting out of respect to Garcia and City.
Mundo Deportivo via Le 10 Sport says Barca have paused negotiations to leave Garcia and City free to prepare for their Champions League semifinal with PSG.
Garcia, 20, played for Spain during the last round of World Cup qualifiers, though has managed just the ten appearances for Manchester City so far this season. He was snapped up by City in 2017 from Barca's U16 team and first made his senior breakthrough two years later.
