Barcelona management are preparing to organise a farewell ceremony for Javier Mascherano.

The veteran defender is set to leave for Hebei Fortune China in the coming day.

Sport says Barca are designing a stage for Mascherano's departure with the presentation planned for before their clash with Espanyol.

Mascherano was reluctant to take part, as he preferred a low-key exit. But he was eventually persuaded to accept Barca's plans to honour him.

The defender left Liverpool for Barca in 2010, so spending seven-and-a-half years at the Nou Camp.
