Barcelona open Man City talks for Bernardo Silva

Barcelona have opened talks with Manchester City for Bernardo Silva.

Sport says Barca have opened contact with City to sign the Portuguese attacking midfielder and are convinced they can seal a deal. The idea is to lower the price of the deal, knowing that the player has asked to leave the Premier League side and he has agreed a deal with Barcelona for four seasons. His future may even be independent of that of Frenkie de Jong.

Joan Laporta said that the club's window could go down in history. Silva has become the next strategic objective. Bernardo is pressing to leave and that will help in negotiations with City, which won't be easy.

They have asked for around 80 million euros for the midfielder. He is not happy in Manchester and that is a problem for City. Barcelona could be a good solution.
