Barcelona are hoping to find a compromise with Marc-Andre ter Stegen over new contract talks.

Currently tied to Barca until 2022, the Germany goalkeeper has begun negotiations about new terms.

However, Ter Stegen's opening demands of a pay-hike to €15m-a-year has been immediately rejected by Barca's board due to Financial Fair Play concerns.

Instead, reports Goal, Barca hope to convince Ter Stegen to sign by extending his deal for another SEVEN YEARS.

Barca are offering a new contract to 2027 for their No1 to re-sign.
