Barcelona management must satisfy three conditions to secure Lionel Messi to a new contract.
Messi is currently off contract and while he has agreed terms over a new five-year deal, he cannot put pen to paper due to wage cap concerns.
Via Le 10 Sport, RAC1's Gerard Romero reports Barca need to pull off three deals to make room for Messi's new agreement.
The sale of Martin Braithwaite for a minimum of €15m, the departures of Miralem Pjanic and Samuel Umtiti (or a reduction in their salaries if they remain) and the cut in wages of senior players Sergi Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique must all be achieved if Messi is to stay.
For the moment, only Pique has indicated a willingness to accept a wage reduction.
Meanwhile, Messi has returned to Barcelona, but is not training at the La Masia complex as he waits for developments. It's been agreed due to insurance purposes that he must not train using Barcelona facilities.
