Barca battled for rhythm in the stalemate.
"There has always been a league title race," he said after the full-time whistle.
"We tried and we wanted [a win against Getafe], but we couldn't get it.
"We didn't have clear chances.
"We lacked this, so two points escape us."
Asked if tired legs played a role, the midfielder dismissed that suggestion.
"It has been a very demanding month in both a physical and mental sense, but it'd be opportunistic to attribute the draw to tiredness," he said.
"Everything adds up and in the end you pay for it in one match.
"We can't make excuses.
"We're proud of the month we've had."
