Barcelona midfielder Rakitic hints turning down bigger PSG deal

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic says even money couldn't tempt him from the club.

Rakitic has hinted he turned down a bigger contract offer from PSG to stay at the Nou Camp.

The Croatian international decided to stay at the Camp Nou after speaking to the Catalan club.

"There isn't a team in the world that can give me more than Barcelona, unless it's money", he said in an interview with SPORT.

"The most important thing is that [Josep Maria] Bartomeu knows that this is my home.

"It's true that a detail like that [money] is never a bad thing, honestly. But I would like to think that, if the time comes, it will be because I deserve it, because they truly mean it," Rakitic said, as he awaits a call from the club to negotiate improved wages.

"I know that the club cares about its players dearly and I am confident that the president will call me soon."
