Barcelona veteran Ivan Rakitic says Martin Braithwaite can be proud of his debut in their 5-0 defeat of Eibar.

Leo Messi scored four, while debutant Braithwaite played a role in the final two goals of the afternoon.

"He is a striker who plays with a lot of force and verticality," Rakitic said of the new arrival after the match.

"I'm happy for him.

"He is going to contribute and he is a good guy.
