Barcelona midfielder Pedri hails 2-goal Messi after victory over Huesca

Barcelona midfielder Pedri was delighted after their 4-1 defeat of Huesca on Monday night.

Lionel Messi scored twice on the night to help Barca to the three points.

Pedri said, "We knew that the leaders had slipped up and we had to win to close the gap. I have always said that we won't give up on the title. We have a good team to fight for La Liga and there are a lot of points to play for. I said in Paris that we're on a good run and that playing like this we can beat anyone."

On Messi, Pedri added: "I enjoy every game and every training session with Messi. I try to find him because he's the best and he shows it in every game. Every time he touches the ball something can happen and that's why I look for him. It's crazy what he's achieving; he is the best in the world."

The youngster also received a first senior call-up to the Spain squad on Monday and added: "I was following the announcement at home with my parents to see if I would get the chance to represent my country. It's an honour and a dream to be called up."
