Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba mixed emotions after winning debut: I can't be doing that

Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba had mixed emotions after his winning LaLiga debut against Alaves.

The teenager gave the ball away carelessly in the second half, allowing Luis Rioja to steal in and score for Alaves at the Camp Nou. Although Barcelona came away with a 5-1 win, the debutant was self-critical.

"I'm always thinking about the last thing and I have that mistake in my head," Ilaix admitted afterwards.

"But I had a good game, I'm happy to have helped with the assist [for Francisco Trincao] and I'm very happy."

Playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann will also stay in the 18-year-old's mind.

"I was picking up my head and seeing Leo and Griezmann - it was all a dream," Ilaix added. "It was all brilliant.

"[Messi] is lots of players' idol. Everyone that knows something about football knows that he's the best in the world and I'm thankful for the passes he gave me.

"I'll remember everything. I'll never forget anything.

"All I need now is to be able to play in front of the fans, with them here cheering us on."
