Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong admits the players were delighted with their Copa del Rey thumping of Leganes.

Barca won 5-0 in their best performance under recently-appointed coach Quique Setien.

De Jong said at the final whistle that "the team wanted to take a step forward" and stressed that "a victory like this gives confidence and it is important to continue growing.

"The system is not so important but to interpret what the coach asks us."

Finally, and laughing, De Jong commented on playing on the right-wing, adding "as a child I had already played in this position of extreme right, I don't dislike playing in this role".
