Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan is close to joining Galatasaray.

Sport says Turan's agent, Ahmet Bulut, has met with the Turkish club's president, Dursun Ozbek, to agree terms for the player's return to his homeland.

With that agreement now in place, all that's left is for Barça and Galatasaray to talk.

The Blaugrana would have preferred a transfer, but the only club to have shown a genuine interest in the player is Galatasaray and they're only able to sign the player on loan.

Meanwhile, Arda has asked Barça to listen to Galatasaray due to emotional reasons. It's not the best deal financially, but it would allow him to return home and to enjoy his football once again.
