Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta is focusing on securing fullback Martin Montoya to a new deal.
Marca says Montoya's contract has been marked out as a priority at Barcelona.
Negotiations had stalled over Sandro Rosell's demise, but new president Josep Maria Bartomeu has now ordered to get a deal done with Montoya's camp.
The defender's current contract expires in June.
