Barcelona have tabled a bumper offer for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Sport says Barca have made a massive €60m proposal to Ajax for the Holland international.

Talks have also been held talks with De Ligt's representatives and he's been assured of a guaranteed place next season. De Ligt has had concerns about where he would fit in Barca's defence.

The Catalans are confident of landing the defender, with Ajax chief and former Barca star Marc Overmars at the opposite end of the table.

Barca already have a deal in place this summer for Frenkie de Jong and are now hoping to add Ajax teammate De Ligt in the coming weeks, if not days.
