Barcelona made a deadline day attempt for Leeds United striker Rodrigo Moreno, it has been revealed.
The Athletic reports Barcelona were ready to make a loan offer to sign Rodrigo on deadline day.
Leeds supposedly received contact from Spain for the forward as they plotted a late move to bolster their attacking options amid Antoine Griezmann's switch to Atletico Madrid.
The nature of the interest, among other reasons, made talks a non-starter after the Whites only brought in Rodrigo last summer for £27m from Valencia.
With just a few hours to go until the window was slammed shut, it would've been challenging for Marcelo Bielsa to find a replacement and add to their already light squad.
Rodrigo had also made it clear that he was set for a second season in England and would fight for a regular starting spot in the Leeds side.
