Barcelona are watching Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this season.

A high level Barca source has confirmed to Mundo Deportivo that Tielemans is being scouted this season.

Barca are in the market for a midfielder capable of playing box-to-box and Tielemans fits the bill.

Tielemans is being tracked after Barca were snubbed by PSG's summer signing Gini Wijnaldum. Wijnaldum, as he was coming off contract at Liverpool last season, was in contact with Barca for several months and appeared all set to join the Catalans thanks to the presence of former Holland coach Ronald Koeman.

However, Wijnaldum eventually chose to sign for PSG after the French giants came in with a late offer.

Meanwhile, Belgium international Tielemans has a deal with the Foxes to 2023. He has been with Leicester since arriving from AS Monaco two years ago. So far this season, Tielemans has managed five appearances, scoring once.
