Barcelona are not ready to confirm the free transfer signing of Gini Wijnaldum from Liverpool.
The Dutch midfielder is out of contract this summer and has not renewed with the Reds.
Wijnaldum is wanted by current Barca coach Ronald Koeman.
The issue is that Koeman does not want to block the path of youth team products into the first team, and also has to shift players to ensure there is space for Wijnaldum.
One player who must move on is Miralem Pjanic, who signed from Juventus in the summer, according to Sport in Spain.
Should Pjanic be sold, then Wijnaldum can come in on a free and compete for a starting spot in the club's usual midfield three.
