Barcelona hero Hristo Stoichkov is backing their move for Carlos Vela.

Barca are said to have a deal in place with Los Angeles FC for the striker.

"He is a player who knows the Spanish league," Stoichkov told Univision. "He had spectacular games with Real Sociedad.

"It won't be hard for him to adapt.

"If he goes to Barcelona then he'll be spectacular from the first match.

"I don't doubt Carlos Vela.

"I don't know if Barcelona will want him for just six months or with a purchase option."
