Barcelona great Andoni Zubizarreta has officially left his role as sporting director at Marseille.

The Spaniard had been in the job for the last four years after leaving Barcelona.

Zubizarreta leaves l'OM with the club in the Champions League after finishing second in Ligue 1 this season, 12 points behind Paris Saint-Germain.

It now remains to be seen whether Marseille will stick with Andre Villas-Boas as head coach.

Zubi's contract was to run to 2021.
