Barcelona great Hristo Stoichkov says they must be wary in new contract talks with Lionel Messi.

Stoichkov has called on Barcelona's incoming board to be more cautious in offering Lionel Messi at new contract at the club.

Recently it was revealed that the Argentine has earned some 555 million euros on his current four-year deal, which expires in the summer.

"Messi has never forced anyone to sign a contract of that size," Stoichkov told BeIN Sports.

"The next Barcelona president has to offer Leo something concrete."
