Barcelona great Rivaldo has dismissed claims of Lionel Messi planning to leave this summer.
Inter Milan identities have talked up the prospect this week, including former president Massimo Moratti.
But Rivaldo told Betfair: "I think he has no reason to leave Spain, but if it does happen one day, he could sign for a club in China or MLS, but only when he ceases to be so decisive for him.
"Even if a transfer to Inter could be financially encouraging for the player, I suspect that it would not be enough to convince him and I think it sounds more like propaganda from the president of Inter than a real possibility on the next transfer market."
