Barcelona goalkeeper Cillessen insists no problem with Ter Stegen

Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen insists he has a good relationship with Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

There is talk of Cillessen pushing to leave Barca in January due to frustration over his backup role to the German.

He told Sport: "I always want to play, but unfortunately for me, Ter Stegen is performing at such a high level in Barça that at the moment it is difficult to play here.

"But I am happy to be able to play practically every match for my (national) team, and when I returned to Barcelona I found that the teammates were also happy to see me compete, they were very happy.

"I do not play every week and therefore he (Holland coach Ronald Koeman) cannot see me on the field, but he knows what my qualities are and every time I go to the national team I try to gain his confidence and convince him that I can continue playing."
