Barcelona fullback Junior Firpo happy to be part of victory over Leganes

Barcelona fullback Junior Firpo was delighted to step in for Jordi Alba in victory over Leganes this week.

The win made it six points from six for Barça since LaLiga's return following a three-month pause due to the coronavirus pandemic but the performance was different from Saturday's impressive 4-0 win at Mallorca.

"In Mallorca, everything was much easier because we scored as soon as the game started," Junior said. "But tonight we had to work hard and wait for the goal to arrive.

"It's about winning because there are a lot of games in very few days. Getting points moves us closer to our objective, which is to win the league."

Games are currently being played in empty stadiums and Junior concluded: "It's strange because Camp Nou is always full. The fans help you with their support, but it's what has to happen at the moment."
