Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba is happy to be back in the Spain squad.

Alba was recalled having been ignored by Spain coach Luis Enrique earlier this season.

"It's clear that after so many years in the team, not being called up makes you think," he said.

"It's more of a question for the coach but I understand he has to see a lot of players.

"It's a new era and my hope will always be that I am wanted to come."
