Barcelona fullback Firpo seeks move abroad; clubs from England and Italy queue for talks

Leeds United have joined the battle for Barcelona fullback Junior Firpo.

Mundo Deportivo says West Ham and Southampton are also rumoured to be interested in the 24-year-old who mainly operates as a left-back, but can also play across the backline.

Firpo has no intention of staying in Spain and his agents have informed Barcelona of his desire to leave.

AC Milan also remain an option Firpo, who was previously linked with Serie A sides Fiorentina and Napoli last season.

Firpo joined Barca from Real Betis for £16.5 million in August 2019 and was part of the Spain Under-21 squad that won the Euros that summer.

He made 18 appearances in all competitions for Barca last season scoring one goal.
