Barcelona fullback Lucas Digne admits he's drawing inspiration from Arsenal reject Mathieu Debuchy.

Debuchy has rebuilt his career at St Etienne, where he arrived in January from the Gunners. Such has been his impact, Debuchy is now a late chance to make France's World Cup squad.

Digne said: "Debuchy? For me, this is an example, a great player.

"He has an incredible mind. He showed that by having regularity and fewer injuries, he does a great job. He is complete, he defends well, he attacks well, and he is hard on the man. A modern fullback must be able to defend well and project forward."
