Released PSG goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has become involved in Fluminense's presidential election.

It was announced this week that Buffon and PSG had agreed to terminate his contract after a season in Paris.

The Juventus icon isn't short of offers across the globe - and he intends to play on.

Sky Italia says promoted Brescia and Fenerbahce are both in contact, while a presidential candidate for the Fluminense election has addd him to his ticket. Mário Bittencourt and Ricardo Tenório are the main contenders, with the vote to be held on Saturday.

A move to Barcelona has also been mooted as they prepare to lose Jasper Cillessen.
