Barcelona face paying a massive premium on Antoine Griezmann's buyout clause should Atletico Madrid agree to their demands.
Rather than pay Griezmann's €120m clause outright, Barca would prefer to pay it as a transfer fee - so allowing them to stagger the payments.
However, Mundo Deportivo says should Atletico accept the latter route, it will mean Barca paying an extra €25m.
Spanish tax law demands Barca pay the extra fees as part of each installment of the overall fee.
However, despite this, Barca's board still favour paying the fee over several years rather than everything up front.
